The Hypernova leaderboard ranks funded traders by performance over a fixed period. Every funded account that closes at least one trade in the period qualifies automatically — no opt-in, no separate registration.

Two Scopes

ScopeWho participatesPeriod
GlobalEvery funded trader on HypernovaCalendar month, UTC
CommunityMembers of a specific communityCustom — set by the community
Global competitions run from the first to the last day of each month, UTC. Community competitions can start mid-month — e.g. May 10 to June 10 — and are visible only inside the community page.

How Rankings Work

Every leaderboard shows two rankings side-by-side, with a single toggle:

PnL

Net dollar profit in the period — realized PnL after fees and funding. Rewards raw performance regardless of account size.

RoE

Return on equity — net PnL as a percentage of your starting capital. Levels the field between $5K and $200K accounts.
The toggle changes the ranking order, the podium, and the prize ladder shown alongside the table. Your row is pinned wherever you scroll — you always see where you stand.

Ranking Columns

ColumnDefinition
PlaceYour rank by the selected metric (PnL or RoE)
TraderUsername and avatar
PnLrealized PnL − fees + funding in the period
Win RateWinning closes ÷ total closes in the period
RoEPnL ÷ starting capital × 100
VolumeTotal notional closed in the period (size × price summed across close fills)
Ties break by the unselected metric first, then Win Rate, then Volume — so every place is unique.

How to Qualify

To appear in the rankings you need a funded account with at least one closed trade in the competition period. Evaluation accounts and dormant funded accounts don’t qualify.
Eval users are shown, but not ranked. Active evaluation accounts appear in a separate section below the funded leaderboard, sorted by account size. They never reach the podium and never receive prizes — but you get a preview of where you’d land once funded.

Rewards

Most months feature prizes. Per-place rewards are configured per competition and per metric — a single competition can run a PnL ladder, an RoE ladder, both, or neither.
Prize typeExample
Cash USDC$1,000 USDC for PnL place 1
Free assessmentA free $50K assessment for RoE place 1
OtherMerch, premium features, partner rewards
No prize pool yet? Competitions without prize rows render as “Monthly Rewards Coming Soon” — the ranking still runs, you still get a place, and prizes can be added retroactively for a given month if announced.

Communities

Communities are private leaderboards with their own rankings, their own prize ladders, and their own membership.

Joining

Communities issue shared invite codes. Enter the code from your account menu and you’re in — your funded trades count toward that community’s leaderboard from the moment you join.

Visibility

Community leaderboards and rankings are publicly readable by any Hypernova user — only the write action (joining) is gated by the invite code. Communities are public reads by design.
Membership is permanent in v1. Joining a community is a one-time action; we don’t currently support leaving and rejoining mid-period. Talk to the community admin if you need this.

Past Competitions

Once a competition ends, its standings and prizes are frozen. The Past Competitions modal lets you scroll back through months — filter by scope (global or community), year, and month to find any prior ranking. Frozen standings include the same PnL/RoE toggle, the same podium, and the same prize ladder that was live when the competition closed.

Refresh Cadence

Rankings recompute every 15 minutes. Submit a trade now and it shows up on the leaderboard within the next tick. The countdown to the next recompute is visible at the top of the leaderboard page.
